Body Stress Release Academy

Body Stress Release is a wonderfully rewarding career, ideal for those who enjoy working with people assisting them to regain their wellbeing.

The Academy is located in Rondevlei, a small village on the famous scenic lakes drive of the Garden Route, South Africa. It is a short drive to the beaches and about 30 minutes to the nearest towns of either George or Knysna.

Academic Requirements

Applicants must have acquired a minimum of three A level grades and be at least 25 years old. A BSR practitioner needs to have self-confidence, maturity and empathy. It is important to have the ability to listen and relate to people from all walks of life and who may be in pain and under stress. It is also extremely important to be able to concentrate and to explain clearly. All applicants must have experienced Body Stress Release. If you have not experienced BSR before, it is recommended that you visit a local practitioner for a series of ’releases’ before you apply to do the course, as it is vital that you experience first hand, the benefits of Body Stress Release. All applicants must be self-motivated, dedicated and have the ability to market and promote Body Stress Release to ensure a successful practice.

The BSR Academy is the only place in the world where you can train to be a Body Stress Release practitioner. One intake of students is accepted annually. The class size is limited as a great deal of one to one training is provided. BSR is now being practiced in the United Kingdom, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Sweden, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, America, Canada, Island of Curacao (Caribbean), Namibia and throughout South Africa.

Accommodation is arranged through the Academy, in and around the Wilderness area and is relatively inexpensive. Students are accommodated in flats or houses in close proximity to each other, allowing for group studying and daily practising of the practical knowledge gained.

Instruction is in the form of lecturing/teaching, demonstration and practical experience. The subjects covered are anatomy and physiology, BSR philosophy and principles, technique theory and practise, communications, office procedures, client management, case studies and the study of the BSR constitution.

On successfully passing the Anatomy, Technique Theory, Technique Practical and Client Management examinations and the apprenticeship programme, students graduate and are presented with a brass plaque and a Body Stress Release Academy Practitioner Certificate.

Association Membership

All practitioners are required to join the BSR association of the country in which they are practising.
